Information for students, faculty, and staff about the Spring 2022 semester at Bowdoin.
Goals
First and foremost, the health and safety of students, faculty, staff, and our neighbors in the Brunswick community;
Providing an excellent Bowdoin education to every student;
Strengthening the bonds of our community; and
Being good stewards of our financial resources.
Spring 2022 Overview
The knowledge we have acquired in the past and the tools now at our disposal will allow us to achieve our goals with a different approach, one that acknowledges that the virus will be with us for the foreseeable future, that recognizes the significantly reduced health risks for a fully vaccinated campus, and that will allow us to begin to move back to a campus and college experience that is more normal.
All students will be on campus and classes (after arrival week) will be taught in person.
All members of the campus community (students, faculty, and staff) are required to be fully vaccinated and must have received their booster shot for COVID-19 when eligible. The only exemptions have been granted for medical reasons for students (and legitimate medical or religious reasons in the case of employees).
