Student Affairs. Center for Religious and Spiritual Life

The Center for Religious and Spiritual Life at Bowdoin provides support and guidance for students and groups involved in religious activities, faith traditions, and personal spiritual growth. Bowdoin College is committed to the principle that each religious tradition is a vital and valued part of our community, and we celebrate and nurture this religious and spiritual diversity.

Spiritual and religious life at Bowdoin offers each student opportunities to deepen one's faith, explore ethics and spirituality, and learn about the traditions and beliefs of others through interfaith services and the Bowdoin Interfaith Council comprising the eight faith groups on campus.

Eduardo Pazos is Bowdoin’s director of religious and spiritual life. He does not represent any one religious tradition, but rather guides and coordinates the faith groups on campus encouraging interfaith understanding, dialogue, and education. He is available for counseling on issues of ethics, faith, and spirituality. The director also acts as a liaison between students and the religious leaders and faith communities in Brunswick and Mid Coast Maine.

Appointments with Eduardo can be made by calling 207-798-4196, emailing, or by stopping in at his office at 30 College Street.
