Queers & Allies
Queers & Allies was formed in October 2005 in response to proposed antigay legislation on the November ballot. We are a group of queer faculty, staff (and a few student representatives) and supportive allies from the Bowdoin community.
Since then (the antigay legislation failed, by the way), we have highlighted some preliminary goals:

Serve as a resource for Bowdoin employees, both current and prospective.

Support queer/questioning students (via mentoring) and support the efforts of the BQSA, QTRC, and Gay & Lesbian Studies Program.

Develop social programming for the community inclusive of faculty/staff, as well as students and Friends of Bowdoin.
