Traveling to Campus
You should plan to arrive on campus between 9 AM and 4 PM on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014. Whether arriving alone or with family, there are several ways to travel to campus with or without a car.
By car: Click here for driving directions to campus.
By bus: Concord Coach Lines operates a bus service to Brunswick from Logan Airport in Boston, South Station in Boston, and the Transportation Center in Portland.
By train: The Amtrak Downeaster operates from North Station in Boston and stops in several New Hampshire and Southern Maine locations before arriving in Brunswick. Both the bus and train stops are about a five minute walk from campus.
By plane: The closest airport is the Portland International Jetport, about 30 miles south of campus. Bowdoin vans will be available to pick up students arriving for Orientation. If you plan to use this service, please contact one of the coordinators listed below once you have received your Orientation Trip assignment. Be sure to include your name, the origin of your trip, airline name and flight number, or bus company, and arrival time in any correspondence about travel. Taxis from the Portland International Jetport to campus are also available and cost around $60-70. You may also fly into Logan Airport and take the Concord Coach Lines bus to Brunswick.
