Orientation and First Year Programming

Welcome Parents!
Whether this is your first child going to college, or your last, rest assured that we are busy preparing an excellent Orientation program for a smooth transition to college. Our 9-day program gives them plenty of time to make new friends and get adequate rest, while also providing key events for the entire class that share important information about our community values and the academic rigors of life as an engaged student at Bowdoin. There are many thoughtful people ready and willing to share information, answer questions, and point students in the right direction for any support they may need.

There are plenty of rooms available in the Coastal Maine community should your travels include an overnight visit. Please use the links below for directions, accommodations and local restaurants.
