The Bowdoin College Museum of Art exhibition Edward Hopper's Maine opened July 15 with a flourish and was a beacon through the summer and early fall, attracting crowds and shattering the Museum's attendance records.
Nearly 44,000 visitors came to see the exhibition before it drew to a close Sunday, October 16.
The Hopper show also attracted media attention across the country and from as far away as Japan.View a compilation of reviews and media coverage.
