Video: Longfellows Try Out for NBC’s ‘The Sing Off’

Bowdoin a cappella group the Longfellows had an eventful summer as members and their voices were put through the paces of auditioning for the NBC show, The Sing Off. Out of 500 groups, the Longfellows made it all the way to the top 30, but didn't survive the cut to the final 15.

"Although we were not one of them, we are incredibly grateful to have been considered among some of the best groups in the country," says Longfellows Music Director Pete Murphy '12. Here, the group practices for one of its auditions with a rendition of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep":

Auditions for Bowdoin's a cappella groups will be held the week of Sept. 12; sign-up sheets are in the Mckeen Center, just outside the Chapel side entrance.
