Mike Perkins, the Bowdoin College Museum of Art’s security supervisor, was honored by the Mid Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross at its 102nd Annual Meeting.
Perkins was hailed as a “Red Cross hero” for saving the life of a Harpswell resident using CPR and a nearby defibrillator.

“This is the second time in two years that Mike has saved the life of another and his heroism serves as an inspiration to others to learn the skills needed to save lives,” said Ray Michaud, the Red Cross chapter’s health and safety director, who presented Perkins with a Life Saving Award.
