The Maine Employers Career Fair has proven to be a growing networking opportunity — featuring more than twice as many employers as last year.
The annual event, now in its third year, was held February 10 in Morrell Lounge, Smith Union, and drew hundreds of students from Bowdoin, Bates and Colby, allowing them to meet representatives from 57 employers from around the state offering 75 jobs and internships.
"Our goal when we created this fair three years ago was to keep talented Bowdoin students from leaving Maine as soon as they graduate," says Nathan Hintze, employer relations coordinator for Bowdoin Career Planning.
"This year we have received an incredible response from Maine employers offering both summer opportunities for all years and majors, and full-time opportunities for graduating seniors."
The Maine Employers Career Fair is organized by Bowdoin Career Planning.
Participating employers are required to have internships or job opportunities suited to liberal arts students.
