Members of Bowdoin's acclaimed robot team, Northern Bites, were in the nation's capital this weekend participating in the USA Science & Engineering Festival, organized by Larry Bock '81.
The stated mission of the event is to "re-invigorate the interest of our nation’s youth in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) by producing and presenting the most compelling, exciting, educational and entertaining science gatherings in the United States."
Members of the team posed Saturday with Professor of Computer Science Eric Chown on the National Mall. Later, Ben Johnson '11 wowed a group of visiting kids with a couple of the team's robots.
Bowdoin is one of the only liberal arts colleges partnering on the event.
A delegation of Bowdoin students and faculty posed for a photo before heading off to the festival in Washington.
