Remembering Taryn L. King '07 with Fenway Scholarship Fundraiser
Story posted October 02, 2010
The third annual "Go Big or Go Home for TLK" brought 350 people to Boston's Fenway Park to benefit the Taryn L. King Memorial Scholarship Fund.
King, a standout on the field hockey team, was the NESCAC Player of the Year and a first-team All-American in 2005.
She was a junior when, while studying abroad in Galway, Ireland, she contracted a bacterial infection and died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.
The sold-out event, which included a silent auction, featured music by '80s cover band Racer X, half of whose members are on the Bowdoin faculty.
