The Office of Planning and Development has announced three promotions within the offices of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.
Associate Director of Alumni Relations Rodie Lloyd '80 has been promoted to Director of Alumni Relations. The appointment was effective July 1, 2010.
Lloyd graduated from Bowdoin in 1980 with a major in Psychology. From 1982 to 2006 she held various leadership positions in Human Resources at LL Bean. Her career path led her back to Bowdoin for some project work in Career Planning and Admissions before being named Associate Director of Alumni Relations in February of 2007.
"Since that time, Rodie has been an invaluable member of the AR team, planning and orchestrating a multitude of events and taking the lead on such important initiatives as the Athletic Hall of Honor, Connections Events, and Alumni Council Committees," says Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations Randy Shaw.
"Rodie is a talented team leader and project manager, and is well-known and respected throughout the alumni community. I greatly look forward to working with her in this new role."
Assistant Director of Alumni Relations Sarah Begin '05 has been promoted to LLoyd's former associate director position, effective August 1, 2010.
Brannon Fisher has been appointed Director of Annual Giving, effective October 1. Fisher comes to this position after serving the past three years as a member of Bowdoin's Leadership Gifts Staff. He graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in English literature, earned a master's degree in education from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and an MBA in strategic leadership from Dominican University of California.
Fisher came to Bowdoin in 2007 from Dominican University where he served in various roles in Admissions and Development, including serving as the Director of the Annual Fund. Prior to Dominican, Brannon taught English at Nordhoff High School in Ojai, Calif., and The American School in El Salvador.
"This appointment comes after a national search and we are delighted that the person we have chosen to lead Annual Giving at Bowdoin comes with knowledge and experience in the Bowdoin community," says Shaw.
"Bill Torrey and I look forward to working with Brannon and the entire Annual Giving team to lead the program to even greater success in the years ahead."
