Bowdoin Alums, Belt-Makers Smathers & Branson Bring Preppy Back on CBS Early Show

Peter Smathers Carter '04 and Austin Branson '04, former roommates at Bowdoin who founded Smathers and Branson, a company that manufactures and sells needlepoint belts, key fobs and wallets, have helped make preppy fashionable again.

Their products — and their alma mater — get a mention about 2:40 into this segment about the return of preppy styles.
