Bowdoin College has given the 2010 Abraxas Award to Westborough High School in Westborough, Mass.
The Abraxas Award is given each year to the secondary school sending two or more graduates to Bowdoin College whose representatives maintain the highest standing during their first year at the college.
The two students in the Class of 2013 from this school are Matthew Ross Spring and Steven Shieh.
Together, these students earned a combined GPA of 3.925 during the 2009-2010 academic year, the highest for a secondary school sending two or more students to Bowdoin.
The Abraxas Award was established in 1915 by the Abraxas Society, a former Bowdoin junior class scholarly society that was active from 1893 to about 1924.
