In a recent Maine Public Broadcasting Network debate, all seven Republican gubernatorial candidates were asked if they believed global warming is in large part caused by human activities; all but one declined to embrace the science behind climate change.

Kyle Dempsey '11 has been selected to receive a scholarship from the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation.

He has also received the Paddy Frank Walsh Pioneer Scholar Award and is one of eight Bowdoin students to receive the Surdna Foundation Undergraduate Research Fellowship this year.
