Amid the tumult that has surrounded television's more comedic late-night offerings, ABC's newsy Nightline — with its host Cynthia McFadden '78 — has "quietly emerged as a real competitor," notes Entertainment Weekly in a story picked up by WowOwow, or The Women On the Web, a site launched by Lesley Stahl, Peggy Noonan and other media matriarchs.
The article notes that Nightline is in second place behind The Late Show with David Letterman and is up double digits in key demographics.
