Former Maine Governor and Bowdoin Distinguished Lecturer Angus King gave a public talk on campus February 23, 2010, about the ongoing national debate on health care.
King was appointed Distinguished Lecturer at Bowdoin College in 2004. In addition to teaching the class, "Leaders and Leadership," he has participated in lectures and discussions hosted by various campus groups, offering students insight into the worlds of public service and politics.
King was elected Maine's 71st governor in 1994 and was re-elected in 1998.
