Gov. Baldacci Proclaims April 6 Peary-North Pole Centennial Day

Governor John Baldacci, D-Maine, has issued a proclamation in observance of the centennial of Robert E. Peary's historic expedition to the North Pole.

Citing Peary's accomplishment, his education at the College as well as his leadership and ingenuity, Gov. Baldacci has proclaimed April 6, 2009, Robert E. Peary North Pole Attainment 100th Anniversary Day.
