Watch Online: Confirmation Hearing for SBA Chief Designate Karen Gordon Mills

Karen Gordon Mills, President Obama’s choice to head the Small Business Administration and wife of President Barry Mills, faced the United States Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Wednesday, April 1, 2009, for her confirmation hearing.
The proceeding, led by Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., the committee chair, was held in the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.
"I'm a believer in American small business," Ms. Mills said in her opening statement. "I'm a believer in the American spirit of entrepreneurship. We need to cultivate it today more than ever."
President Mills was in attendance at the hearing, as were Mary Herman, wife of former Maine Governor and Distinguished Lecturer Angus King, and Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration & Treasurer Catherine Longley.
