College trustee Greg Kerr '79, an anesthesiologist, was featured in a news segment that aired Wednesday, March 25, 2009, on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.
The segment examines the pros and cons of abandoning paper medical charts in favor of electronic health records, a priority of President Barack Obama's healthcare reform plan.
Though he is not identified in the piece, Dr. Kerr appears twice, extolling the virtues of electronic records to the reporter.
"It basically tells us almost everything I want to know about a patient," says Kerr.

Kerr is affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where much of the segment was taped. He is also an associate professor of anesthesiology at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
