Short Films Showcase Museum's Exhibitions

Story posted July 11, 2008

Short films by Nathan Morrow '09 offer new perspectives on two exhibitions currently on view at the Museum of Art.

Morrow, an intern at the Museum, captured Lewis deSoto's Paranirvana/ Self-Portrait, in a time-lapse film of the inflating sculpture.

The 26-foot-long sculpture depicts a recumbent Buddha.

It is inflated by fan every morning to its maximum capacity and deflated at night.

The exhibition is on display in the Museum's rotunda until January 26, 2009.

Morrow captures the exhibition, Andrea Sulzer: After Nature, by offering a 360-degree view of the artist's unconventional responses to the Maine landscape.

Sulzer's drawings are on view in the Zuckert Seminar Room through August 27, 2008.
