David Pearce '72 Named U.S. Ambassador

David Pearce '72 has been nominated by President Bush to be the U.S. Ambassador to Algeria.

Pierce, who lives in Virginia, is a career Foreign Service officer who served most recently as senior advisor to Ambassador Ryan Crocker in Baghdad. Pearce previously held diplomatic posts in Rome and Jerusalem.

His nomination goes to the Senate for confirmation.
