Bowdoin College men's ice hockey coach Terry Meagher has become the seventh coach in Division III history to reach 400 career victories.

The Watson Ice Arena is among the top-priority building projects of The Bowdoin Campaign, which ends in 2009. These projects will have a dramatic impact on student life, reflecting the needs and interests of our diverse and talented student body.

Meagher speaks of following in the footsteps of longtime Polar Bears coach Sid Watson, after whom the new arena will be named, shares memories of triumphs and tragedies, and honors his wife and family for their support.

"I'm still amazed at the school spirit, the electricity in the building and the people who come to the Bowdoin-Colby game," says Meagher in the article. "That contest is always a highlight. I sit back during those games and say, "Wow! This is what it's all about in college sports.'"
