Story posted December 19, 2006
The Bowdoin College field hockey team will be featured on CBS's NCAA Fall Seasonal Show airing nationwide at 1:00 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, December 30, 2006.
The Emmy-nominated program will include a segment on the Division III Field Hockey Championship and will focus on the Bowdoin team's perseverance following the tragic death of teammate Taryn King '07 after the 2005 season. King, a First-Team All-American and NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Year in 2005, passed away while studying in Ireland last January.
In 2006, The Polar Bears returned to the Division III Semifinals for the second straight season, finishing the year with a record of 17-2 and winning their second consecutive NESCAC Championship.
The program is scheduled for December 30, but is subject to change. Check your local CBS listings for complete details on the broadcast.
