Common Hour Presents Salman Rushdie
Story posted February 23, 2006
Common Hour is pleased to bring Salman Rushdie - one of the most successful and controversial novelists of his generation - to Pickard Theater, Memorial Hall, at 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2006. The lecture is open to Bowdoin students, faculty and staff. Tickets are required.
Although advance tickets "sold out" very quickly, a handful of tickets will be made available at the Pickard Theater box office on the day of the event beginning at 11 a.m. Limit one ticket per person; Bowdoin student/faculty/staff ID required.
To accommodate potential overflow, the event will be projected into Wish Theater. Tickets will not be required to view the projection, but a Bowdoin student/faculty/staff ID is required for admission. Seating is limited; first-come, first-served.
Salman Rushdie's books include Midnight's Children, Haroun and the Sea of Stories, The Satanic Verses, and his most recent novel, Shalimar the Clown. Copies of his books are available for sale at the Bowdoin Bookstore at a 20% discount this week.
