Harvard Magazine Story Praises Bowdoin's Community Offerings

Bowdoin College is featured prominently in a feature story in the current issue of Harvard Magazine (January-February 2005, New England Regional Section). The story "Back to School: The joy and rigor of living near an academic environment" by Nell Porter Brown looks at the draw proximity to a college campus has for retirees.
Harvard graduate and Brunswick resident Christopher H. Schmidt sings the praises of Bowdoin's offerings to the community, from sports, concerts, art exhibits and lectures, to auditing classes and membership in the Association of Bowdoin Friends. The story's first-page color photograph shows Schmidt standing in front of Hubbard Hall.
