George J. Mitchell '54 to be Honored for Humanitarian Efforts

George J. Mitchell '54 will be honored in January by The Hospitaller Foundation of California for his worldwide humanitarian efforts.

On Wednesday, January 21, the Hospitaller Foundation will host the first annual George J. Mitchell Peace and Humanitarian Awards Presentation Dinner. The inaugural award will be presented to its namesake "for his ongoing involvement and dedication to peacekeeping and the prevention of crisis in international affairs."

Maine Governor John Baldacci will be the evening's honorary chairman.
