Hastings Senior High School Receives Abraxas Award from Bowdoin

Bowdoin College has given this year's Abraxas Award to Hastings Senior High School in Hastings, Minn.

Two of the school's graduates, Leslie Porter Wittenbraker '06 of Welch and Jonah Hamblen Popp '06 of Hastings, earned a combined grade point average of 3.719 during the 2002-03 academic year at Bowdoin.

The Abraxas Award is given annually to the secondary school sending two or more graduates to Bowdoin, whose representatives maintain the highest standing during their first year at the College.

The Award, established in 1915 by the Abraxas Society, is an engraved pewter plate, which will be presented to Hastings Senior High School.
