Forum on the War in Iraq To Be Held Wednesday
Story posted March 31, 2003
Members of the Bowdoin community are invited to a "Forum on the War with Iraq" Wednesday, April 2, from 7-9 p.m., in Morrell Lounge, David Saul Smith Union.
Attendees are invited to pose questions, make comments, and share their concerns about the war and its possible consequences. A poster being distributed around campus advertising the event reminds people "Now is not the time for silence, ignorance, or apathy!"
Moderators for the event will be Dov Waxman, assistant professor of government; David J. Vail, Adams-Catlin Professor of Economics; and Jonathan White, visiting assistant professor, sociology and anthropology.
This is the first in what is being planned as a series of events of faculty-facilitated small-group discussions on the war. Check back at Bowdoin's World Affairs and Crisis Resources page (http://www.bowdoin.edu/news/worldaffairs/) and the Sun online news and information page (http://doubletop.bowdoin.edu/sun/) for the announcement of future events.
Suggestions for future meetings or forums may be emailed to Allen Springer, chair of the government department, at email@example.com.
