Bowdoin Skating School Classes Begin January 9

The winter session of the Bowdoin Skating School's "Skate With Us" program will begin Thursday, January 9, and registrations for skaters of all ages and skills are now being accepted.

Classes are held Thursdays and/or Saturdays for nine weeks at Dayton Arena on the Bowdoin College campus. Prices range from $110 to $145 for the full session.

The "Skate With Us" program was designed by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA), and includes sessions for preschool children, preschoolers and parents, home schoolers, children age 6-18, and adults.

The program offers classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, in basic figure skating skills, advanced basic skills and artistry in motion, and the fundamentals of hockey skating.

Registrations will still be accepted after the first class.
