Class of 2005 Arrives on Campus

The Bowdoin College Class of 2005 began arriving on campus Tuesday, August 21, for Pre-Orientation activities.
This week many of the incoming class are participating in Pre-Orientation trips, which include hikes around Maine and a visit to the Bowdoin Scientific Station at Kent Island in the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick.
The remaining members of the class will arrive on Saturday, August 25, the official arrival date for new students.
The Class of 2005 will enroll 453 students--227 women and 226 men--and includes student government leaders, athletes, journalists, musicians, artists, and a large number of students who have engaged in community service throughout their high school careers. Twenty-five members of the class are National Merit Scholars.
