Bowdoin Celebrates Student Employment Week

Itís student employment week, a week set aside each year to recognize student employees and make sure everyone knows about the essential contributions that student employees make here on campus.

The Outstanding Student Employee reception will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 12th in Main Lounge. There will be a seminar for supervisors at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 13th in Lancaster Lounge of Moulton Union. Supervisors are invited to come and learn about interviewing, evaluating and motivating student employees.

All students are invited to the Student Employment Office for a daylong open house on Tuesday, April 11th. The SEO also encourages students to explore the SEO web site and enter the trivia contest, which is in the April SEO newsletter. There's something for
everyone, so join the fun!

Student Employment Week is an ideal time for supervisors to recognize the hard work and exceptional effort put forth by their student employees. The contributions of some of these dedicated student employees will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 12th at the Outstanding Student Employee reception.

In addition to the Outstanding Student Employee program, which is non-competitive, Bowdoin also names a Bowdoin Student Employee of the Year. This year's recipient is Justin Watras of Dining Services. His nomination is currently being evaluated at the state level.
