Photographer Gives Presentation on Tibet

May 1, 1999, BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Bowdoin graduate and photographer Kevin Bubriski will give a presentation titled "Perspectives on Tibet: 1987-1997" at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 3, Beam Classroom in the Visual Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Asian studies program, the art department and the art club.
Bubriski has spent years living in and photographing Asia. Between 1987 and 1997 he made five trips to Tibet. He will show a video of his most recent visit and discuss changes in Tibet during that decade.
Bubriski was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for his photography, and his work is in the collections of several museums.
