Bowdoin A Cappella Group Releases CD

Brunswick, Maine-- Miscellania, Bowdoin College's female a cappella group, has released a new CD. "Bridges," a compilation recorded over the past two years, is now available for purchase.

The album was recorded at Fishtraks, a Portsmouth, N.H., recording studio, in December 1996 and May 1997.

"Bridges" features songs encompassing a variety of styles, including renditions of the Spice Girls' hit single "Wannabe," Ani DiFranco's "Buildings and Bridges," Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time," Enya's "Orinoco Flow" and "Seasons of Love" from the musical "Rent."

The CD will be available for $12 after Miscellania concerts, in the Smith Union, and at the Bowdoin Bookstore next fall. In addition, copies may be purchased by contacting Annie Tsang at (207) 721-5026 or via email at

This spring, Miscellania is recording another album to be released next year. The group toured New York during spring break in March and is planning to tour Italy next year.
