Dreams Unlimited Founder Featured Speaker

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Michael Perry, a member of the Bowdoin College Class of 1974. is the featured speaker at the sixth 1997-98 Bowdoin Business Breakfast on Tuesday, April 7, in Daggett Lounge, Wentworth Hall, Bowdoin College.

Perry's talk is titled "Helping People Enjoy the Outdoors." Perry is the founder and director of Dreams Unlimited, a Freeport-based firm that specializes in multimedia programs about the outdoors for corporate wellness programs, schools and civic organizations. He is also a writer and photographer, whose work has appeared in national publications. During his 19-year career at L.L. Bean Inc., Perry founded and managed the L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery Program, which offers hundreds of instructional programs for Bean customers annually. He was one of the first recipients of the "Bean's Best" award for excellent customer service. Perry has bicycled across the United States twice, sea kayaked from Maine to New York, and climbed Mt. McKinley and Mt. Everest. He also enjoys canoeing and cross-country skiing.

Registration begins at 7:15. Seating in Daggett Lounge is limited to 160. Reservations are required. Send check for $8.50 (payable to "Bowdoin College") to Lynn Ensign, 4100 College Station, Bowdoin College, Brunswick ME 04011-8432 to arrive no later than Tuesday, March 31. Parking near Coles Tower is limited. Please do not park in spaces reserved for Admissions Office visitors.
