Hague to Speak on World Markets

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- John L. Hague, managing director of Pacific Investment Management Co. (PIMCO), is the featured speaker at the sixth 1997-98 Bowdoin Business Breakfast. The breakfast is Tuesday, March 10, in Daggett Lounge, Wentworth Hall, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The cost for the breakfast is $8.). Hague will speak on "The World Markets: A View from California."
A senior member of the PIMCO portfolio management group, Hague joined the company 11 years ago. His foreign bond investments have included hedge accounts and investments in fixed-income emerging markets. PIMCO is a Newport Beach, Calif.-based firm that works primarily with fixed-income investments. Prior to joining PIMCO, Hague worked with Salomon Brothers Inc., specializing in international fixed-income products and mortgage securities, and with J.P. Morgan in credit research.
Hague graduated magna cum laude with high honors from Bowdoin College in 1980 with a degree in government and economics. He earned his master's degree in business administration from Stanford University in 1985.
