Jung Seminar Features Dalai Lama's Physician

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The Bowdoin College Jung Seminar will show a video of a recent in-person lecture at Bowdoin by the senior personal physician to His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, on Sunday, April 27, at 3:00 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium, Visual Arts Center.
The lecture, "Tibetan Medicine for Mental and Physical Health" by Dr. Tenzin Choedrak, is open to the public free of charge.
Originally in Tibetan and simultaneously translated into English, the lecture will be preceded by an introduction and accompanied with a commentary by Maine Medical Center's Dr. Walter R. Christie, psychiatrist, and Elinor H. Christie, behavioral scientist. The Christies were students in 1995 in the first course taught in English at Men-Tsee - Khang (Tibetan Medical School), in Dharamsala, India.
The lecture is sponsored by the Bowdoin College Department of Religion.
