Policy: Administrative buildings are normally locked during non-business hours and on weekends. Keys needed for an employee's work may be obtained from Facilities Management upon proper authorization. For everyone's safety and the security of College facilities, equipment and material, employees should insure that their work area/office is closed and locked during non-business hours.
It is against College policy to purposefully allow unauthorized access to College buildings (e.g., prop doors open, tape over automatic locking mechanisms, etc.).
Keys, alarm codes and entry cards should be closely guarded, and any breach of building security (e.g., lost or stolen keys) must be reported to the Security Department immediately at x3314. Employees may not make copies of College-issued keys. It is the employee's responsibility to return keys and College ID card to his/her supervisor or Human Resources upon termination of employment.
