Current students, faculty, and staff are the primary users of the College email system. In some instances, others may also have email privileges as follows:

1. Emeritus faculty and staff
2. Inactive/Active Faculty and Staff - faculty and staff who become active employees for any part of a two-year period.
3. Trustees
4. Collaborators and Special Researchers - colleagues from other institutions who require a College email account to support the work they are conducting with Bowdoin faculty
