Bowdoin is fortunate to be situated in one of the most beautiful and accessible parts of the United States. Coastal Maine is a major tourist destination with direct flights out of Portland International Jetport to Chicago, New York, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta and more. It's also a beautiful drive to Bowdoin, about 2.5 hours from Boston.

Brunswick is a town of 17,000 with a variety of lodging options. Portland is an easy half-hour drive south and offers all the amenities of any city.

All visitors should obtain a parking pass from the reception desk in the admissions building.

Note for Early July 2009 visitors: Visitors arriving in early July should allow time for a detour. Construction on upper Maine St. in Brunswick will block the intersection of Maine and College Streets where the Admissions Office is located. Please use the following detour: upon arriving in Brunswick, travel south up the hill on Maine St. At the top of the hill, turn left around the First Parish Church. Take first right at the stop light onto Harpswell Rd. Take first right (no light) onto College St. The entrance to the Burton Little Admissions Office will be about 1/5 mile down on the left.
