Bowdoin College

Bowdoin College prints a limited number of Academic Handbooks for Admissions, Student Affairs, academic advisors, and archives. It contains primarily academic information, including department and program descriptions and major/minor requirements. (Course listings and descriptions are available at bowdoin.edu/classfinder.) The Academic Handbook is updated each spring and printed in the summer. Information therein is accurate as of July 15.

In addition to the information included in the printed Academic Handbook, the online version of the Academic Handbook includes the history of the College and its buildings; a section devoted to the Division of Student Affairs; lists of College committees, alumni and community organizations, trustees, and officers of administration; and Bowdoin’s Environmental Mission Statement. The online version of the Academic Handbook is updated each summer. The information included is accurate as of August 1.
