Annual Giving
One of the measures of the Bowdoin Campaign’s success is the extraordinary degree of participation of its alumni, families, and friends. Annual gifts to the Alumni Fund, the Parents Fund, the Polar Bear Athletic Fund and the Friends of the College Fund constituted nearly a fifth of the Campaign’s total. Gifts of all sizes and various purposes, supporting financial aid, the academic program, student activities and the general purposes of the College, they were by no means uniform, but they uniformly reflected the loyalty and engagement of donors and the excitement of being a part of the effort to ensure that Bowdoin remains the special, vital place it has always been. The success of Annual Giving is a critical component of beyond the Bowdoin Campaign.
