Fatherly Pride: Journalist Writes of Grant Easterbrook ’11, Bowdoin Football for ESPN

For four years, Gregg Easterbrook, senior editor at The New Republic and a prolific writer whose articles have appeared in The New York Times, Atlantic Monthly and Washington Post, says he has resisted saying anything about his son, Grant Easterbrook '11, the left tackle on the Bowdoin football team, in his ESPN column or on the cable channel.

But, what with Grant's final home game coming up Saturday, things have changed.

Four years of fatherly pride come pouring out in this week's column — along with shout-outs to his son's fellow seniors on the team and heaps of praise for the College.
