The Student Activities Office kicked off the academic year with its annual Student Activities Fair, designed to showcase the more than 100 student organizations at the College and to help first-years become engaged with co-curricular life in their first few weeks at Bowdoin.

Among traditional offerings such as a cappella groups and club sports is RAKE (Random Acts of Kindness, Etc.), a group started by Houston Kraft '11 (pictured). Activities include, you guessed it, free hugs at the Maine Mall and in Portland’s Old Port.
