In other local retail news, Jason Harvie, supervisor of The College Store at Brunswick Station, was featured in the Nov. 15 Maine Sunday Telegram's "On the Move" section announcing his position in the new store.
Wickard, of Cumberland, Maine, and his business are profiled in the November 16, 2009, edition of the Portland Press Herald.
The article, "Bull Moose: Ready to Take Over the World," notes Wickard's studies at the College and that he arranged his course schedule around store hours and had friends fill in the gaps.
Now with 110 employees and amid predictions 2009 will be the best-performing year yet, Wickard has a plan.
"We want to take over the known world," says Wickard in the article.
"In our dreams, Walmart is a department of Bull Moose."
