David Sandahl '76 to Help Oversee N.J. Stimulus Funds
Story posted March 12, 2009
New Jersey Governor John Corzine has appointed David Sandahl '76 to a task force charged with monitoring the distribution and spending of the state's federal stimulus money.
Sandahl is one of ten people given authority over the tracking of the $17 billion in stimulus money New Jersey expects to receive from the federal government.
"We hope to track where the money will be allocated, and we hope to set up performance measures and to see, actually, how well it's doing," Sandahl told the Trenton Times. "Is it creating the jobs we want? Are there measurable improvements in the kind of things we want to see?"
Sandahl owns Decision Consulting, a management consulting business, and served in the Office of Management and Budget under presidents Carter and Reagan.
