Bowdoin hosts MPBN's First Congressional District Debate

Bowdoin College and the Maine Public Broadcasting Network (MPBN) teamed up to bring viewers and listeners a debate between the candidates vying for Maine’s First Congressional District seat.

The debate between Democrat Chellie Pingree and Republican Charlie Summers was held Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 8 p.m. in Kanbar Auditorium, Studzinski Recital Hall.

The debate was moderated by MPBN’s Jennifer Rooks, with additional questions from MPBN Deputy News Director Susan Sharon.

The debate was broadcast live on the television and radio stations of MPBN (locally on WCBB/Channel 10 and WMEA 90.1 FM) and online at MPBN.net.

A television rebroadcast is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, at 3:30 p.m.

MPBN was founded by Bowdoin, Bates and Colby Colleges and the University of Maine System.
