Common Good, Alumni Council Awards Announced

The Bowdoin College Board of Trustees and the Alumni Council have announced the recipients of three awards honoring outstanding service and devotion to the College.
The Common Good Award, Alumni Service Award, and Alumni Award for Faculty and Staff recognize members of the Bowdoin community for their exemplary achievement and dedication.
Common Good Award Kali Erickson '94 has worked in Latin America and, most recently, southeastern Africa, addressing the health and nutrition needs of the poor. For her tireless efforts, Erickson has been selected by the Bowdoin College Board of Trustees to receive the 2008 Common Good Award.

Alumni Service Award John Papacosma '58 has a tremendous record of service to Bowdoin. For his many efforts, he was named the recipient of the 2008 Alumni Service Award, presented annually in recognition of an individual's record of volunteer service to the College.

Alumni Award for Faculty and Staff For his enthusiastic and ongoing commitment, men's hockey coach Terry Meagher has been chosen to receive the 2008 Alumni Award for Faculty and Staff, presented each year for service and devotion to Bowdoin, recognizing that the College in a larger sense includes both students and alumni.

The awards will be presented Saturday, May 31, 2008, during Reunion Convocation.
