Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Democratic candidate for President Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, spoke before a standing room only crowd in Daggett Lounge on February 8, 2008.
The informal rally in support of her mother's bid for the Democratic nomination was entirely question-and-answer in format, with Clinton fielding questions dealing with everything from universal health care to the war in Iraq.
With Maine's Democratic caucuses on Sunday, February 10, Chelsea Clinton's visit came on the heels of her father's visit to Portland a day earlier to stump on his wife's behalf and in advance of a stop scheduled for Saturday morning in Orono by the candidate herself.
Chelsea Clinton's visit was sponsored by Bowdoin College Democrats and Bowdoin Students for Hillary.
A photograph of Chelsea Clinton speaking at Bowdoin appears in the February 16, 2008, edition of The New York Times accompanying an article about her efforts along the campaign trail. Click here to read the article.
