No-Loans Announcement Makes National Headlines

Bowdoin's announcement that it will eliminate loans in financial aid packages is making national headlines. The College announced January 18, 2008, it will replace loans with grants for all new and current students receiving financial aid beginning with the 2008-09 academic year.
